The mdstern review was written by the husband of Director Vstern.
My child started in 2010. I loved the family-feel and warm atmosphere with happy staff and lots of flexibility. This Fall, a change in the Director led to turnover with staff and administrators leaving. The Programming is still very good. The teachers have their hearts in the right place but they seem stressed by the new environment and overcrowded classrooms. Teachers often have to buy their own supplies for projects, which is sad because they don’t earn a lot. Knowing them over the years, at present, they just don't seem happy. Worth visiting and checking out. Take a look at the roster outside of the door to see how many kids are in the class.

Wonderful Caring Preschool in Wyckoff NJ:
The Apple Tree Child Development Center is a wonderful place for your child to play, make friends and receive a great educational foundation. Our son has been a student at the school since he was two. Our child is now he is five and still loves every moment of school. He has formed close bonds with the students and teachers and the teachers treat our son as if he were family. We value that aspect of the school most and we know that he is safe and very well cared for.
The school is also very flexible and they are very willing to work around busy, rotating schedules and they understand that not every parent works a Monday through Friday 9-5 shift.
When we originally sent our son to school at the Apple Tree, he was shy, introverted and didn't speak a great deal. That most certainly changed! He is excelling at not only the basics such as the alphabet and numbers but also comes home speaking Spanish, doing yoga and shows us the baked goods that he and his classmates created. Not every school offers such diverse programs and this is a key aspect of what we value in the Apple Tree! Overall, the Apple Tree provides a very well rounded day with education and fun and most importantly in a safe and caring environment.
