Rudest service person I have ever encountered.:
We called AES to come fix the thermocouple on our dryer. A man showed up quite promptly. Upon entering, I asked him if he would please take his shoes off in order to walk the short distance across our new fir floors to the basement door. He immediately said that he's not interested.
At first, I thought he was joking but then he picked up his tool bag and started to leave. I asked him why he was leaving. He told me that state law prohibited him from working without his shoes on and that he's not interested. I explained that I was not asking him to *work* without his shoes on, just to cross the fir floor without his shoes on. He refused to discuss the matter further, became rude and unpleasant and stormed off.
We've had many contractors here and none have ever refused to cross our floor without their shoes on.
