Subcontractors; Poor communication, planning:
Aqualand owner nice guy but out of touch with project. Subcontractors for electrical, gas, tile, plaster. All subcontractors unsupervised by Aqualand on days work was performed. Days lost due to subcontractor scheduling, workmanship errors. Poor workmanship installing coping bricks; homeowner made Aqualand fix mortar gaps, chips. Plastering problems due to no supervision. Homeowner had to be present to supervise and correct subcontractor errors because no one from Aqualand was on site. Serious lack of communication, project management and material ordering. Subcontracting delays stretched project to 3 months when homeowner was told job would take 1 month. Aqualand favored using the weather as reason for delays. Overall, headache with this company.
