This big, modern art center on the shores of Tempe Town Lake is primarily a performing arts center, but it also has a small gallery that mounts interesting exhibitions throughout the year. Be sure to check the calendar.
There's a fiesta atmosphere at this downtown Mexican restaurant, which is part of a small regional chain started in 1970 by the Lucio family. The Armadillo serves a variety of Mexican food standards, and many of the recipes come from the Lucio family. Especially recommended are the Mexican Turnover (a deep-fried meat pie) and the Burrito Supreme. Fajitas are also popular.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors:
Regional chain features an authentic-feeling Mexican theme and dependable food in large portions.
