For more than 20 years, this nonprofit arts organization has presented experimental works in all media by artists of diverse cultural backgrounds. The main gallery is located inside the Union Center for the Arts, a beautiful former church complete with classical columns (it dates to 1922), which is just a stone's throw from the Geffen Contemporary Museum. The secondary gallery is at the Brewery Annex, a complex where artists both live and work. In addition to showing art, Artcore strives to establish dialogue between artists and their audiences, regularly holding art lectures and workshops.
