I brought in 25 expensive dress shirts last week 6/28/2018 to have them dry cleaned with heavy starch. Upon trying to pick them up Saturday 6/30/2018 - it was very clear that none of the shirts had received any starch, much less heavy! They still try to charge me, rang me up and everything(????). Thus, I said, let me speak to your owner/manager please. " they are not here". Okay, when will they be here so I can review this order with them? " I don't know" so I returned this morning, July 2, 2018 and was met by the person who did the cleaning and she was adamant that my shirts got starch. I clearly patiently explained that I've been getting my dress shirts dry cleaned for over 25 years and I know when a shirts has starch applied, especially heavy starch. I was than simply told .."well, we use different starch and that's the way your shirts turned out" I said this is 100% unacceptable and I wanted my shirts done correctly. Again I was told, your shirts are done and there is nothing more you can do. (???) I have contacted the local Better Business Bureau this morning, July 2,2018 and I am requesting that my shirts be returned to me at no charge so I can take them to a Reputable dry cleaner to have the shirts dry cleaned with heavy starch as originally requested. I'm even willing to provide the receipts to Artel as proof that my shirts were actually taken to another cleaners for proper service and that I paid for proper services $81+ dollars. At all cost - AVOID & don't bring any of your clothing into ARTEL's - this is not a joke. They are fraudulent & negligent

I do not generally write reviews unless they are positive, but I have to share this experience...I have been going to this cleaner for 8 years and have had a few mishaps over time. Too much starch, some shirts not completely clean, etc. I took a shirt out of the plastic this past weekend put it on and noticed several holes and tears in the shirt. All of the other shirts in the package were fine, but this one had some serious issues and was not wearable. I brought it back to the store, tags still on, and she proceeded to tell me that it was not something that happened there. She was to show it to her boss and get back to me. After not hearing back for 4 days, I stopped back in on the 5th day and spoke to the same employee. She told me her boss agreed the damage was not done at their location and they would do nothing for me. This shirt was probably 1 yr old and cost approx $40. They did not offer to refund my money for the cleaning, offer money for the damage, or even offer a future credit toward cleaning. NOTHING!! They took absolutely no responsibility for what happened. They said it must have been like that when it came in, so I asked why they would clean and press something that tears and holes in it. She responded, "some people like their shirts like that" it could be their favorite shirt.

I wish I could post a picture of what the shirt looks like, I think people would get a laugh. I will NEVER go to or recommend this cleaner to anyone. I went here because it is convenient to my office, but there are plenty of others around for me to try. I can not believe that a small local business would treat a loyal customer like I was treated. I hope this review is read and people think twice about going here. HUGE mistake.
