Overpriced and rude management!:
I lived in Woodlane Place Townhomes in Woodbury and its a TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!
-Was a normal place to live when under the previous management but since current management took over the place has really become unpleasant. Management is always requesting to come into the units for one reason or another, so be ready to have NO PRIVACY! I don't know why they can't just do everything they need at the same time to help cut down on the amount of times they need to come in!
-The staff is very rude and no one seems to know what they're doing. Also, make sure you get everything in writing with them because there is no consistency among the management staff and you'll likely get differing answers to any questions/requests you may have depending on who you talk to.
-The homes are really cheaply put together... The model unit they show you is well kept/updated and looks nice but every other unit I've seen has signs of sloppy repair work and/or is in desperate need of updating.
-The appliances barely work; when they finally replaced our dishwasher after our multiple complaints the one they installed was supposedly new but it still was terrible and left soap residue.
-The water supply to our washing machine (located on 2nd level) broke and flodded the floor so bad that ceiling downstairs was leaking and bowing from pooling water... when we called maitnence they said to just clean up the water we could and they would be by the next day bc it was after hours and didnt think it was an emergency. How is a ceiling filled with water and its potential to collapse not emergent? When i asked how they planned to dry the water that was pooled between the two floors i was told that we just had to wait and that it would eventually dry. I asked how would they prevent mold from growing while waiting however long for stagnant water to dry... the guy seemed irritated with my concerns and eventually cut a hole into the wall and sat a tiny tiny fan in front of it which blew a terrible stench throughout the place. He said thats all they could do and was tojust give it a few days.
-Our screen door wouldn't close at all and when I called to let them know and ask for it to be fixed I was told it was due to settling and that they couldn't fix it and that as long the main door closes all the way I would just have to live with the screen door that doesn't latch. And there really is a ton damage to the homes as a result of settling, none of the doors line up correctly and create a terrible draft during the winter so get ready for sky high heating costs!
-The management appears to be helpful by giving tenants sidewalk salt in the winter, however they have to do this because the gutters don't work properly and ice builds 5+ inches thick on the main walkways! I showed the staff where the gutter on my unit was crooked and causing melting snow to drip and freeze and create a very thick dangerous ice patch right in front of my door. I asked them to fix the drainage but they said there wasn't anything they could do bc the gutter must not be installed right and they suggested I pick up some more salt from the office. I KNOW THE GUTTER WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY- THAT'S WHY I CALLED BC ITS THEIR JOB TO FIX IT! NO AMOUNT OF SALT WOULD EVER MELT THAT ICE.
-They're doing construction and the workers vehicles take up all the parking and also leave debris (scraps, garbage, nails) everywhere! Its a hazard. The construction crew damaged the screen to our door, we let the office know and yet when we moved out we were charged for it!
-The new management said that rent was going to be increasing and we finally became so annoyed with the new management that we decided to move.
