Dr. Gwynn attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia and obtained his Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1981. In 1985 he graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1988.
