Great Tattoo but Horrible Piercing & Customer Service:
So I am not one of those "i-am-super-cool-and-covered-in-piercings-and tattoos" kind of people, although I do have a few piercings and three tattoos. I just moved here from DC and had gotten all of my work done at the BEST shop ever (Jinx Proof) in DC so I kinda knew what to expect for tattoo parlor service. I wanted a new piercing and tattoo and since everyone in Austin seems to be covered in both, I asked around for a place.
Overwhelmingly people recommended Atomic Tattoo on Burnet, so (long story short) I went with a few friends and we all got tattoos last April from Mike Pain (who seems super iserious and ntimidating but made jokes to help me relax and did a wonderful job).
So I went back about a month ago and got a tragus piercing. First of all it took WAY longer than it should have (even the piercer apologized for having to pierce and adjust and re-pierce and re-adjust etc.). So the piercing didn't hurt really at all and I was pleased with it. About a month into the healing I noticed a small bump on the outside of the piercing. I figured that this was a part of the healing (as other friends who had their tragus' pierced said similar things). So the bump didn't go away and in fact I noticed a bigger bump on the inside of my ear. I went and talked to Justin (who was too busy talking to even greet me as a custome when i walked in). After being shuttled back and forth to various workers who could no help, I talked to Justin (who was still talking to who i found out later was the Board of Health representative) acted as if it was no big deal and that I should just not worry and that I didn't even need to go to a doctor since it wasn't a big deal.
Well I ended up going to my doctor who put me on antibiotics (which clearly means that Justin didn't know what he was talking about) and now the bump(s) are getting worse.
Theres no need for me to go back to the shop to ask their opinion since they didn't express any interest from the beginning. I'm incredibly disappointed with the service regarding this piercing and having a cute piercing with a bump and having to take medicine for i is NOT WORTH IT
