An option to book a car when arriving at LAX:
Good customer service. The booking by avis.com site worked well, except by not having a car of the reserved class. At first, a more expensive option was offered and then they arranged a nice and close alternative. The return was very straightforward, with an immediate verification and the final bill which matched the initial estimate. A little too impersonal, but very quick.
Their Where2 GPS system is not impressive and a bit expensive. I am not sure how it compares to an ordinary Garmin GPS device with no specials, but if there are extras, they are not significant.
