Horrible!:
We ordered a custom glass shower enclosure for our new shower. Rick Grimsley, the owner, came out to oversee installation and take our order. We were able to get passed his cocky and condescending attitude long enough to make a choice on the glass and move forward with the quote because he promised a quicker turn-around that his competitors.
1) There is a tiny chip in the glass. When I pointed this out to Rick, he told me it was tape and that it will clean off. We will be calling him back today to have this replaced.
2) The installer did not tape our glass before applying caulking and there are HUGE gobs of clear shiny silicone smeared all over the edges of what is supposed to be a matte black edge along the glass. This is impossible to get off and I have to now look at this sloppy and unprofessional edge with this new $1200 shower glass. If you would like to see pictures, please e-mail me!
When I brought this to Rick's attention, he stood right there and told me there was nothing wrong with this craftsmanship and that I should not worry anyhow because it will dry clear and matte I will not see it. BULL! It has been 24 hours and it's still looking like c@!p.
The most important part of this story. I told him I was unhappy and reluctantly gave him his 2nd check with the premise that this silicone will dry and not look terrible. He told me he had another appointment to get to. Rick proceeded to high tail it to the bank to do a teller withdrawal on my check within 10 minutes of leaving here. He took over an hour to call back my husband and was still going over the same pointless rebuttals to our concerns.
BOTTOM LINE... customer service and quality craftsmanship is NOT the basis of this company. If my glass is not replaced, I will be contacting my attorney and I will be reporting his CA license #817888. Please e-mail me if you want to see pictures.
