Baingan

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! They're right on the river - where the Bella Vista used to be, so a lovely spot, and with a nice view.

They told us they were owned by the same folks as Darbar in Branford, which has been our favorite, but I would actually say it was BETTER than Darbar!

We had chicken tandoori, chicken wings, shrimp poori (which came late - it's an appetizer - but they took it off the bill without us even having to say a word), Onion Bhaji's, Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Malai Kofta, lots of Garlic Naan. Dinner for 5 with drinks and it came to $77 before tip. Not bad at all!

I cannot say one bad thing about any of it. It was all fabulous! It was spiced exactly as we requested and the poultry was cooked through but still juicy. The servers were very attentive and eager to please and gave us a free rice puddng each for dessert.

They have a lunch buffet on Friday Saturday and Sunday.
