Many thanks to the happy Ballet Rincon families for your positive reviews! Thanks also to those less satisfied writers - I only wish we had the chance to discuss your concerns prior to your exit. I will consider your comments carefully. I would like to say, however, that the staff of BR considers it a large part of our job to help our young students become good citizens as well as good dancers. Yes, we do have age-appropriate structure that is the cornerstone of what we do here: Give children who love to dance the opportunity to truly benefit from the fun and challenge of a well-organized class and program at large. It is true that we have a dress code of black leotards and pink tights for our ballet students, which is the basic standard to help young dancers focus on themselves in class - not their hair or costume. It is true that we work to organize well-rehearsed stage performances to ensure that even our smallest dancers can feel self-assured and confident under the bright lights of that exciting first time on stage. It is true that we expect our students to attend class and rehearsal consistently so they can do their best and their classmates can too. It is true that our families participate in helping our stage productions to be safe, professional and festive by offering a small amount of their precious time to help, and that most feel a sense of belonging and ownership in something larger than themselves. For some this may be too involved for comfort, but for us it is the only way to go. It makes the process and the product so worth the effort. It doesn't seem to me that the writers less satisfied might take us up on this, but should you decide to try us again, we would like to offer you a free re-trial period. If you are a new family and what I've discussed about our program sounds like the kind of experience you and your little dancer are looking for, please contact us! Thanks for reading! (-and excuse the 5-star rating I gave my own studio- There is always room for improvement, but I am just so proud of our school!)
Sincerely,
Jennifer Neuser
