An undiscovered gem.:
Mon. lunch. The place changed hands many times over the years. Original, old diner and a newer addition were spruced up. Opened 11/08. Friendly, funny waitress. Hard-to read specials board = Tuna or Chicken Salad Sands. w/ Soup, Meatloaf w/ Mashed Potatoes & Gravy. Menu is similar to Barbieri’s I & 2 with enough breakfasts, lunches and dinner stuff, “homemade”. Ordered - Soup of the day = Chicken Veg., cup, $2.00. Plenty of good chicken chunks, celery and potato. A good mix, very nice. Sausage Gravy and Biscuits $4.50. Four very good biscuit halves, nicely covered with good, white, tangy, gravy with OK sausage chunks. Plenty food. Meatloaf (special) $6.50. Lots of 1” thick, good, tasty meat with enough real mashed potatoes, all covered with enough good brown gravy.
A guy from the kitchen took his break at one of the tables in the nearly empty room.
Everything was excellent! Don’t know why the lunch crowd didn’t show up. Monday maybe?
