Wood-clad and dimly-lit, the Barrow Street Ale House is a bit of yesteryear (well, yestercentury, really) in the West Village.
Generous selection of beer and friendly bartenders welcome you to raised wooden booths and flatscreens always tuned to ESPN. Downstairs is frat-house smelly, but with more breathing room and a pool table (if you don't mind feeling like you're partying in your parents' basement). Has the potential to become your own personal Cheers, if you hook up with the right folks.
Editorial Review:
West Village watering hole offers pool, darts and tunes from a jukebox, plus daily drink specials and a late-night food menu.
