Dresses and deposit owed:
My mother-in-law and sister-in-law went to get their dresses tailored at the end of February 2020. At the time my wedding was scheduled for April 2020.
They were getting their bridesmaid and mother of the groom dresses altered. My husband was also ordering his tuxedos from Barry's Formal Wear and had put down a $135 deposit. They all had received notice about a month into the pandemic that the store was closing due to the COVID-19 outbreak and were unable to stay open. There was no set time of when they would be closing for good but that they would be closing down. The owner had told my husband he would be sending him a check back for his $135 deposit in the mail.
About a week later my mother-in-law and sister-in-law went to pickup their dresses and the store was locked and boarded up. The number for the store had already been disconnected. Barry's Formal Wear had been in business for over 50 years. My mother and father - in -law had their dresses and tuxedos ordered and altered here for their wedding and my sister-in-law and husband had gone here for both of their proms. There was a trust in Barry's Formal Wear and a relationship spanning over 30 years and this trust was immediately broken and destroyed.
We drove around the area, no signage, no information about another location, absolutely nothing at all. This has been about a year of battling and just trying to find some information.
I have moved my wedding FOUR TIMES due to the global pandemic which has been extremely stressful. My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and husband has now had to find another dress and tuxedo.
If anyone knows the owner or has some contact please let me know, I just want the dresses back and the deposit my husband was promised. i have been unable to get any kind of contact information.
