I dropped and broke a product, was forced to pay/buy broken item. I understand was MY FAULT & they're in business to make a living.
Was 2 bulbs w very flimsy, no protection packaging, when dropped, easily broken bulbs.
Instead of my just leaving it on shelf, I selected another package, taking both to register.
Clerk was very nasty, demanding I pay for broken product.
Instead of just leaving the store after telling lazy clerk to take a hike, I felt intimidated into paying...he did offer a 10% discount on the $3.49 package, afterall, was my fault for dropping it. I did tell him both my rotators and biceps are torn, needed help, but he was too lazy and sat on his a@!e behind the register...what a man! NOT!
They've lost a very VERY valuable customer as my husband was one of their biggest customers as he's a systems engineer for Motorola, has several US patents and needs a lot of products and batteries they sell.
Shame on that clerk! He didn't have to be so arrogant and nasty to me...AND he did NOT offer me any assistance in leaving in the dark of night and homeless people sleeping outside their store and I'd told him they'd made me feel uncomfortable with their asking me for money.
I guess this clerks mama didn't teach him right!...he just didn't care that I'd been bothered by those homeless men...maybe he needed to get back to playing games on his iphone!...or didn't want to help an older woman get to her truck! Thank God my husband was just outside the store and came to my rescue after finishing eating at Outback Steakhouse.
