They took a $600 deposit for a job they scheduled a month later. They did not show up. When I called Pepe at the time he was to arrive, he had forgotten. He offered to come a week later, but I said I could not take another day off , & I could not leave all of my furniture that had been moved for a week. He said, "Well, sorry.You need to understand things come up."
I told him he should have called to let me know he was not coming, & he replied, " You should have called me to check if I was still coming before you moved your furniture." REDICULOUS!!
He & his wife, Veronica, refused to give me my money back just before she screamed at me & hung up on me. So it looks like I will be taking legal action to get my $600 for work they never started! They are rated a D- with the Better Business Bureau! Horrible Owners running a Horrible Business!
Very arrogant and unprofessional owners:
I left a deposit with these people on a Sunday. They told me that they're "very busy" and would call me the following Thursday to see IF they could do the work that day or some other day. I said fine.
I always get a lot of calls from telemarketers and if I don't recognize the number I let them go to voicemail. I got a lot of calls on that Thursday and among those calls were a couple of calls from Pepe who is one of the owners, which I didn't know at the time it was him because I didn't recognize the number and he didn't leave a vm. About an hour later I got another call from another number I didn't recognize and didn't leave a vm either. Just for the heck of it I decided to google that number (the last call) and it turned out to be BBB Flooring. I called the number back right away and got Veronica's vm. I left a message and she called me back about 20 min later. She said that her husband had tried to call me but since I didn't answer they could not do the work that Thursday and I would have to wait another week. I said fine, but then I thought "what would've happened if I had NOT called them back? Remember, they did not leave a message and I took it upon myself to find out who called me and then I called them back.
I called Veronica back and told her that I checked all the calls received and did not see any messages. She said that her husband "does not like to leave messages" and that "I should've answered the 2nd time he called me because I should've figured that it must be important". I tried to tell her that I was concerned that if they call me the following week and I happened to miss the call I would have to wait yet another week, but she kept cutting me off until I said "Will you let me speak, remember, I'm the customer here" and she said "if you want your money back, I'll just give it to you". I said fine, just give me my money back.
We'll see if I get my money back. DO NOT do business with these people.
The BBB floor crew was offered bottled water upon arriving to our home due to the hot weather at 7:00 a.m. as a courtesty. In addition, we allowed individuals to place their cold bevereages inside our refrigerator as they worked throughout the day. Unfortunately, the workers began drinking other items inside of our refrigerator (bottled water) WITHOUT our consent. When I approached the owner, he assured me that he had taken care of it. About an hour later several more items were removed from the refrigerator again by the workers (dusty hand prints were left on both door handles to the freezer and refrigerator). Empty bottles were placed throughout my bar area and kitchen. At this point, I firmly stated to the owner that I did not feel it was appropriate for his workers to go in and out of my refrigerator. He became upset and told me that they had not removed any additional items and directed me to "lock my refrigerator"! The quality of the work was fine but the owners and staff definately lacked the appropriate professional and social skills required to effectively run a respectable business. Nor did either married owners (Pepe/Veronica) understand the importance of respectful communication with paying customers!! I would NOT recommend this company to ANYBODY! Wife was angry and attempted to state her workers felt discriminated against because I directed them NOT to go in and out of my refrigerator. WHAT?? I am convinced both individuals are ignorant!!!!! She also told me NOT to recommend their business to anybody. So I felt compelled to honor her request.
