Well, I went to this "spa" armed with a nice gift certificate from some dear friends, and I must say it wasn't nearly what is expected from a high end spa. The stylist who colored and styled my hair was good and a lovely guy, and the waxer was overall a very nice person, BUT the owner, whom I understand sets policy, leaves a lot to be desired. I scheduled a Brazilian, but apparently at this "spa" (used loosely) the owner has decided that what is normally considered a Brazilian (full on waxing as anyone in NYC or LA or Beantown are fully aware) is not "appropriate" ("the owner doesn't think THAT waxing is appropriate") -- that's right those were the exact words used -- I was horrified and more than a little bit emabarassed. This experience layered atop repeated (and I'm not kidding since I moved back to the Cape I hear this type of thing frequently) remarks about the quality of service rendered by the owner of this salon is quite a disappointment. I'm afraid I wouldn't go back for any services here despite a wonderful hair colorist!
