I purchased baby shoes 8/27/10 and went in to return the unused shoes today 9/11/10. I explained to a man who claimed to be the owner that the baby wasn't ready for shoes and I wanted my money back. He kept saying sure, sure and headed to the back of the store fiddling around, maybe talking to the guy who sold me the shoes, then came back and handed me a piece of paper with the baby's name and my address on it to bring back for an exchange. I repeated that I just want my money back. Then he finally told me there are no refunds, and pulled out a sign hidden behind the counter that said no refunds. Their website should be changed from 'no appt necessary' (who needs an appointment at a shoe store, this is 111'th st. not RODEO DRIVE)
to NO REFUNDS GIVEN, have receipt? No refunds, less than 14 days? no refunds. I couldn't believe that in this economy with so many stores out of business that this owner would rather pocket The $54 bucks I paid for a cheap pair of baby shoes than lose a customer.
Their website states 'forget the mall and try us'-
After dealing with these scam artists, I will tell you what I told him. I found a much better pair of real baby shoes (Stride rite) at the outlet mall in Michigan City for half the price $24.99 last week. So skip this store and go elsewhere!
I used to buy childrens' shoes at Big 'n Little 20+ years ago (different owners with no problems) these people Bruce (claimed he was owner) didn't seem to care that I said I'd spread the word about my experience as customer service is non-existent here. I decided to start with this website. It deserves 5 negative stars.
