Don't count on someone to return calls when experiencing an emergency. You can trust your braces will be off by your last payment, straight or not.

Horrible Customer Service!:
Bivins orthodontics in Chesapeake. I was surprised by how badly I was treated. I had gone there for my braces a few years ago and had a wonderful experience minus the long wait period. I went there today and I was treated horribly. They had me wait for an hour before Joan rudely told me that my insurance wouldn't cover my night guard. I had called the insurance company a week ago and they stated they would cover up to 90% . I told her that I was going to call the persons insurance that I am on and she told me that I could do that outside of her office and then escorted me out. I then asked the receptionist if there were any over the counter bite guards and she said "no". That's it... nothing else no alternatives just "no" and smiled. I then went back and asked rude Joan if I was covered because I am a full time student. She said that no, I'm covered up until 19... I am 19. Then she said 18. I proceeded to leave when I heard another customer asked what happened and the receptionists actually told them, "she couldn't afford her night guard". I got my free coffee and left. I called later and I was told that I could purchase an over the counter bite guard like I couldn't afford theirs for $495 ... I can but I do have insurance and frankly I would rather insurance pay than me . Anyways. These people are rude and don't appreciate their clients like they used to. My advice, avoid this place like the plague unless you want pricey dental care with a side of an attitude.
