Know Before You Go: Unless you're lucky, plan on waiting a while for a table. You can kill time by scouring the local shops, but don't eat anything or you'll kick yourself when you see the huge helpings.

When to Go: Got those late-night munchies? On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights Blue Moon Cafe opens at 11pm and closes at 3pm the following day.

Blue Moon has every reason to be bombastic, yet much like it doesn't have to be. It knows its place at the head of the diner/cafe/casual dining table, no need to flaunt it like a $2 whore. Just do your job well and with flair. Fresh well portioned plates served in a frill-free zone of happy. No Splenda here, this is real sweetness with a side-order of competency. Nice.
