Bob Evans began making sausage on his southeastern Ohio farm in Rio Grande, Ohio.

At first, Bob ser.. read moreved samples of sausage to his guests in the Homestead kitchen. As more people came, the company opened a little sausage shop on the farm to better serve them. The Sausage Shop, which is now a Bob Evans Restaurant, was the company's first venture into the business.
