Mediocre at best!:
We went to Bob’s Atomic Burgers today with very high expectations, and were sorely disappointed. My husband and I frequent locally owned and operated establishments wherever we go. We live in Golden, CO and were hoping that a terrific little burger joint was coming to our town. My husband ordered a fried chicken sandwich and I ordered a burger, with a small side of onion strings and a small fries.
The buns on both our sandwiches were stale, they ran out of onion strings, and instead we agreed to have onion rings. You could tell the fries and onion rings were not made in house. They were just like every other French fry or onion ring at any other place, frozen and made in a factory. The burger was okay and my husband’s chicken was bland. With such a limited menu, three cooks in the kitchen (I counted), and not very many customers I was expecting more! With their tiny menu they should make everything from scratch, or at least their buns, fries and onion rings or strings. The two burgers, small fries, small onion rings and two drinks were $30.00 plus dollars. I don’t mind spending $30.00 on burgers that are really good, and/or house made, organic or locally produced. Instead I spent $30.00 plus on a barely mediocre product.
