Tips

One of my favorite spots to spend the afternoon. There's a strong section of Chicago-focused books, a children's section, and a great little cafe.

The best independent book store in Chicago. Writers love this store too for they have ample of autographed copies. Anything they don't have, they will order it for you. Add a coffee shop & bar, this is a great place to cuddle with a good book.

The best independent bookstore on the North Side. A great selection, especially of books by Chicago authors, and a cafe with wine, beer and sandwiches.

Who'da thunk this cool bookstore also doubles as Lincoln Square's coziest cafe? Julius Meinl coffee is the perfect companion to a new novel.
