all around bad store:
I entered this store intending to buy myself a new phone. Lucky for me I had a chance to witness the treatment of paying customers by the owner and manager. A customer went in explained it was her 3rd phone that she had problems with. In 2 weeks she had to return 2 phones each time paying 25% restocking fee. She requested to get refunded cash so she could buy a phone from another company. She was told no they would give her store credit minus the restocking fee. After spending about $400 2 weeks earlier she received store credit of about $250. All she wanted was the type of phone she bought to work instead she was given 3 phones in 2 weeks because none worked, paid about $150 in restocking fees, and is stuck with store credit. I hope she finds the phone she wants @ a reputable store that doesn't charge their customers restock fees after they sell a customer a broken phone. So I learned to only buy phones from companies that are responsible with their merchandise. It's so wrong this boost mobile charged the customer 3xs to restock a phone they sold her then to make it worse she has to spend her store credit in this store that has already cost her money and she has nothing but store credit of $250. Personally I will never go there again and I will warn anyone. The store made money on restocking since it doesn't cost more than $40 2 restock a working phone hers was either a company defect or something but not the customer so this store gets 2 make money on restocks and they make sure u have to buy from them. When a customer breaks the phone they should b charged but not when it is not their fault. After hearing her distress and the way she was treated I knew I didn't want to keep getting broken phones until my store credit gets spent on restocking fees. The right thing to do would have been giving her a cash refund for the amount she spent on her 1st phone after 3 bad phones and over $150 in restocking fees I certainly would not trust a 4th phone knowing it probably won't work and have to spend more returning the phone. I hope the owner reads this and considers changing his ridiculous policies. I did find out that boost mobile does not charge their customers for phones that don't work and they will give cash refunds. However, this store has it's own policies. So please do your research about refunds, restocking fees, and what other people say about their prices and service. Even still before u give a company money ask them what their policies are if they say store credit only and 25% restocking fees walk away. There is a good chance the owner is making sure once he has your money he keeps it. Any place that post no cash refunds for any reason and post their restocking prices means alot of people were unhappy with their items. Most people don't buy a phone just to return it for cash and no one breaks their phone just to pay a restocking fee. Thank you wed afternoon customer you stopped me and hopefully many others from buying from this store. I am sticking with contract phones they don't charge the customer a restock fee they also give cash refunds if u change ur mind within 2 weeks and have a receipt. I felt obligated to report what I saw and I will inform boost mobile corporate office as well as virgin mobile and the better business bureau. I hope the owner changes his policies to normal mobile phone policies if not hopefully more people will help me by reporting any businesses that have policies that largely benefit owners while financially hurting customers.
