When to Go:
Every year, on Mother's Day weekend, the Brandywine Conservancy's garden volunteers celebrate spring with a wildflower, native plant and seed sale.
You find plenty of canvases by vacationing artists of the Hudson River School, including Thomas Doughty, Edward Moran, Jasper Cropsey and William Trost Richards.
