Buckingham Fountain

Description

Buckingham Fountain is located in Grant Park. It is one of the largest fountains in the world and puts on a spectacular water show for 20 minutes every hour during the day time if the weather permits. The main jet sprays water over 150 ft (46 m) in the air. The fountain was donated to the city of Chicago in 1927 by Kate Buckingham in honor of her brother Clarence.

I am owned and operated by the Chicago Park District. I am one of the largest in the world and am located at Columbus Drive (301 East) and Congress Parkway (500 South) in Grant Park.
