It's a "pleasant surprise" to find this "deliberately informal" Van Ness American rolling out dishes that "would make it anywhere", including its signature wood-grilled steak and "delightful" seasonal vegetable plates; literally campy decor (e.g. a canoe hanging from the rafters) and a wood-lined, firelit setting enhance the overall "fun experience."
If you actually go camping, nothing you cook tastes this good. Pray the suspended canoe doesn't fall on your head, wonder if it's still seaworthy.
