So this is a list of things that "Burt Brothers Tires & Service" claims they do for a Car Tune-Up.
TUNE-UP
Replace Air Filter
Replace Fuel Filter
Inspect/Replace Spark Plugs & Wires
Inspect/Replace Distributor Cap if Needed
Inspect/Replace Rotor if Needed
Inspect Valve Cover Gasket/Adjust Valves
Top Off Fluids
Inspect Battery
Replace PCV Valve
I dropped off my car then left, The guy calls me back and says, "We just pulled your car into the bay and it looks like all you need is to change the Spark Plugs. I thought well Ok that sounds good, I'm sure they'll reduce the price because they're doing ONE thing off their list. I asked how long it was gonna take and he says about 2 hours. 20 mins later, another person from their shop calls and says my car was ready. I get there and the invoice says "Parts=$40 Labor=$127.50 AND it only took them less then 30 mins to change the Plugs. I think I just got Ripped Off. They guy that supposedly worked on my car says, "The Book" says this is a 1.5 hour job so even if our mechanics can do the job in 30 mins. we still Bill you according to "The Book". I know I just got Ripped off. I'm tired of these mechanics taking advantage/ripping off people because our cars is a necessity. This Business is Very Dishonest.
