If i could i would give this store a no star rating. I visited this store on friday to look for a large quantity of cabinet hardware, while i was there i witnessed a female customer being treated very poorly and being belittled & laughed at. I mentioned this to my husband when i got home and he told me not to go back but i didnt know the whole situation and thought maybe they were just having a bad day or i witnessed a moment of bad judgment? Then i returned to the store on monday to place my order as i had researched different crystal hardware options over the weekend and found that the items i was interested in online where the same items i found in store. I returned to the store first thing monday morning to place my order i knew what i wanted and was ready to spend close to $1000 on my hardware. I believe in giving local small businesses my business whenever i can over ordering online as i myself own a local small business. When i got to the counter to place my order i pulled up the item number which were located on the online page where i found the items i wished to purchase www.goingknobs.com & www.homebydecor.com. I then harmlessly asked if they offered price matching as every online site had these two items i was buying listed at the same slightly lower price to the penny on every site. The owner who i sadly learned was the man helping me could have professionally said no they dont offer price matching (which would have been a ok seeing as though i found these items online and could have just placed the order right then but instead drove 20 minutes to his store to then purchase the items and give him my business). Instead the owner decided to laugh at/belittle me & as i felt attack me and the overall younger generation for not valuing his time spent with me which he then said was worth something (which i never said wasnt because i was yet to have a second to say ok sounds good im here lets place the order) Then he decided to include the gentlemen in back of me waiting to pay (i use the word gentlemen VERY loosely) and between the two of them they proceeded to go back and forth harassing me about the younger generation and our use of the internet and on and on and on (I wouldnt kick my generation to much as it seems some one in his generation failed to teach him morals, common courtesy & respect for others) I literally was at a loss for words, i then said i needed a minute to call my husband and when i walked away they were laughing going on and on talking about me (right in front of me) and again as i previously stated belittling me. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my entire life. I believe that every one should be treated with respect and not to be made feel like i was felt in this store. This goes way beyond bad business these men were sexist and degrading. I strongly suggest you avoid this store at all costs. This is my first ever online review (which is crazy because "my generation" does everything online as they stated). My only hope is that this review will be an eye opener for the owner and staff to learn how to run a professional business (which i bet they dont truly understand the word professional means). This is 2015 evryone has the right to walk into a store and be treated with the same respect as you would like to be treated no matter if there male, female, white, black, young, or old. I guess thats something the "younger generation" can teach the owner of this store. Thank you for taking the time to read this review as i previously stated i believe in supporting small business but in this case the prices are better online and you wont have to risk dealing with the extremely poor customer service provided at this store.
