Avoid This Cafe Like The Plague!:
Decided to try this out Cafe 26 today 3/14/2010. We were seated and the place looks nice inside but that was the high point of our visit. They couldn't pay us enough to EVER eat there again!
The waiter was very rude, he got all of our orders wrong and forgot to bring several things that were included with our meals. When we brought the missing items to the waiter's attention, he didn't bother to apologize, just huffed off and returned about 15 minutes later with the missing items. By that time much of the meals were cold. We almost never complain in a restaurant but this waiter was too much. I finally told him to take my food back because it was I wasn't going to eat my food cold. I told him I was unhappy with the food and I couldn't believe it, but the waiter actually stood there and argued with me about the food and was insisting he was going to charge me for all of it. I asked for the manager and he said "I am the manager!" I said well if that is the case then you wont be in business very long the way you treat your customers and serve your food. I paid the bill also to the same guy (I won't call him a gentleman because he absolutely was not). At that time I informed him that I was going to make it my goal in life for the next few months to inform as many people as humanly possible about this restaurant and warn them not to waste their time going there. He replied "it's OK, we keep busy!" I said well you wont be for long!
Do yourself a favor avoid this Cafe like the plague. I wouldn't be surprised if the above comments were placed here by somebody at this cafe.
