San Diego's pleasant weather makes it one of the best destinations where you can just chill out and relax. On our vacation to San Diego in January, my friends and I had a great time. Going to nightclubs or having parties was not on our agenda. Rather ours was an idyllic vacation. We used to laze around at the beaches, wander at the quaint Old Town, enjoy the magnificent views and just relax. We had stayed at the California Suites Hotel. There are 2 good things about the hotel because of which we chose it. First the hotel offered attractive discounts on the room rates. Secondly, it was located ideally from where most of the places which we had planned to visit were nearby i.e. Old Town, La Jolla, Seaport Village and Balboa Park. Even Gaslamp Quarter was nearby but we didn't visit it. It is a basic hotel where you can have a good stay for a few days. The breakfast they provided was okay. On few days, we preferred to have breakfast at outside restaurants. However rooms could have been a bit spacious. They must get some renovation done to make rooms a bit bigger and spacious.

My budget was pretty low for a vacation in San Diego. Hence I was looking for an accommodation that would be just right – rock bottom in prices but good facilities. I picked California Suites Hotel only because it fit my budget. Frankly I did not like this hotel much. Gosh, the services, the staff was so slow. And there is nothing remarkable to write about complimentary breakfast. Sometimes I even had breakfast outside in nearby restaurants. But two things that did not disappointment me were the room rates and the swimming pool. I have been to a good many hotels now, but this hotel's got the best rates. No questions on that! Anyway from next time, if my budget allows I will go for a better hotel but if the budget's gonna be the same as this time, then I would opt for California Suites Hotel. Let's see!

Hotels play a important role in making your vacation better and comfortable. This time, on my vacation to San Diego I stayed at the California Suites Hotel which is a budget hotel. My expectations were not very high as it is a budget hotel. Nevertheless, the room I got was clean with a lovely view, though small and not very spacious. Room service was quite all right for the prices. This is not a 5 star hotel, so I could not complain much. I don't have complaints about the rooms or the service but I definitely have something to say about the complementary breakfast. It wasn't quite an sumptuous as the hotel promises and the bagels were often not fresh. Nevertheless, its a hotel definitely worth a try for its prices and location.

I don't enjoy vacations where I waste more time on commuting than on sightseeing. So this time on my San Diego vacation, I carefully researched and selected California Suites Hotel. The best part of this hotel is its location only for which I chose to stay here. Beaches and other major tourist areas were nearby. San Diego International Airport is also very near from the hotel. So no matter, wherever I went, commuting to any destination took very less time. But before you rush to book your stay here keep in mind that there is nothing fancy about this hotel. It is very basic and happily suited my budget. I was not very impressed with the services and didn't like the complementary breakfast that was provided to me. All in all, this hotel is good only for its location and affordable rates. If you are looking for a great price, then this is it!
