A tradition in Boston’s historic North End. We have been serving generations of families,locals and tourists in the North End since 1931. People crave the taste of our food. Some say their mouths water just thinking about eating here. That’s why when we change even the slightest thing,they let us know it. Some things should stay just as they are.

When to Go: Accordionist Carmen Spada plays at the Cantina on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 6pm-9pm.

What to Drink: The bar offers several libations rarely found in the North End, including Leffe, a boffo Belgian beer.

"Feel free to make a bib from your napkin" to guard against the "saucy goodness" of this North End fixture's "traditional" Italian "staples"; the trattoria-style atmospherics are a bit "over the hill" for some modernists, but the "friendly" vibe and moderate prices are timeless.
