I took my family up to Gloucester, Massachusetts this past year during the summer and we wanted to just do some sightseeing. My wife looked on her phone and found Cape Ann Whale Watch had a boat leaving in about 45 minutes so we booked a half day whale watching tour for the afternoon trip. It was the best idea. We had a great time and saw a lot of different types of huge whales and aside from Sea World this was the closest I'd ever been to whales. They were about 10 feet away from the boat. I think the biggest whales were Humpbacks. I was hoping we'd see some Blue Whales on our whale watch but I guess they don't always come up to Massachusetts. Cape Ann Whale Watch has the best narrators speaking over the loudspeaker, talking about the whales and the different species, their behaviors, etc. It was really education but the best family entertainment in Gloucester, Massachusetts that I could ever imagine. It changed me! My kids were astonished to see such huge animals splashing in the water. I'm gonna go with Cape Ann Whale Watch next time we're up in Gloucester for sure!
