Family owned and operated business since 1972, today you’ll find the second generation running the business with the third generation in training to take over in a few more years. Carpetman, located at 670 S. Front St. Milton, is known for carpet but excels in all types of flooring including hardwoods, luxury vinyl tiles, laminate, congoleum and tiles. In 1972, Sonny Davis began to transition from being a carpet installer to selling carpet from the back of his truck. That transition marked the beginning of a Milton business, which has been thriving for 43 years. In 2007, Davis sold the business to John Suspic and Jon Campton but Davis remains with the company on a part-time basis.
