In rather surprising news, Mark Steuer will no longer be involved in operations at both Carriage House and The Bedford. Mike Galen, who is executive chef at The Bedford, will take over the same position at Carriage House. Steuer will continue to be a partner at the restaurant, but will not have involvement in daily operations.

"Delicious, hearty Southern food" is what it's about at this Low-country concept in Wicker Park from Mark Steuer and The Bedford team; the midpriced offerings are served alongside signature craft cocktails and punches in a funky-rustic space with homey whitewashed wood, leather banquettes and communal seating, and there's a sheltered front porch with rocking chairs.
