Sometimes toe-nails will bleed after leaving the shop:
The dogs toenail was not bleeding when the customer came in and paid and took it to the car. The dog may have been a puller on the leash, or got ruffed up somehow and started bleeding from hyperness and excitement. Most customers are understanding and will call to see what they can do about it. We have never had a problem with resentment in all my years of professionalism. There are those few that rant/rave and expect compensation of 150% which is not at all fair. She never did take us to court - all threats and no action. She's not a happy person. Those kind of people have a ruff life and will fuss about anything. Life is short and we might as well make it as pleasant for people and their pets as possible.

Cut my dog's foot, he bled all over the place:
I have been a customer of Casper's for over a year now. Until today, they had fairly decent service and were always very polite. I dropped off my dog (a yorkiepoo) to be groomed. I picked him up, paid the bill, left a $10 tip, and got him in the car. When I arrived home, I noticed a some red spots on my passenger seat. I looked around and there were spots all over the back seat and two spots on my pants. Upon inspection, I saw that his foot was bleeding. They trimmed his toe nails way too short and cut into the meat underneath, and he was bleading all over the place. I called them immediately to report the injury, and I was told to "just use bleach or hydrogen peroxide" to clean out my car. I told them that that might get out the blood, but it would surely leave bleach spots on my car's interior. I asked for a refund for grooming, and told them I wanted them to pay for all the blood to be cleaned out of my car and for a vet to examine and treat my dog's foot. The owner and her sister became extremely irate and rude, and hung up on me twice, but not before yelling obscenities, calling me a fu***** bi*** and telling me I would regret it if I tried to sue them in small claims court. Needless to say, I'll be filing my claim first thing Monday morning. I've taken my dogs to three different groomers over the last 7 years (I typically go to whichever one happens to have availability when I call) and this has NEVER happened at the other groomers. Also, the owner of Casper's had a dismissive, non-chalant attitude, and actually told me that "this [dog's getting their nails cut too short and bleeding] happens everyday and it's not a big deal." If you care about your pet's health, do NOT take him or her to Casper's Pet Grooming.
