The dentists are cordial enough until they work on your teeth and wedge metal file pieces into your root canal. They failed to inform me of the "separated instrument" in my root. Well, actually they told me about it while I was heavily sedated by gas and 10MG hydracodones the dentist prescribed and said that it would be fine and happens often. At least that's what they tell me. It was the most painful dental procedure in my life. They didn't tell my sober mother driving me home about the "separated instrument" in my root, and they did not prescribe me any antibiotics to ward off infection. I didn't realize anything was seriously wrong until my mouth became swollen with infection. They immediately wanted to pull the tooth. I went to an endodontist instead to figure out what they had done, and he finally described the "separated instrument" in my root to me while I wasn't heavily medicated. What should have been a root canal for 250 dollars after insurance has now cost me thousands after insurance. A specialist who still was unable to remove the “separated instrument” redid the root canal, and now I am undergoing a tooth removal surgery and an implant surgery. Unless you are a masochist...
