Good Day for Tea:
A good friend of mine, an English lady I might add, invited me to lunch at Chado on a rainy Friday and it was delightful.

The fresh vegetable soup was just what I needed on a cold day and the salad was delicious. Not to mention the wonderful pot of Darjeeling tea that we shared.

The prices are very reasonable, and the selection is extensive.

Extensive tea selection:
With over 300 to choose from, this place had many varieties of tea. The sandwiches and scones are delish. They also have an variety of tea accessories available as well.

High Tea HQ:
Chado is a great tea house. They have hundreds of Indian and Chinese (plus some South African) teas. In addition to high tea, there are several sandwich and salad/soup combinations if you can not eat everything. Prices are affordable (under $ 20 for a high tea including tea, food and tip.) Unlike some tea houses with mucho 'tude, Chado has a really nice staff that doesn't look at you like a social miscreant if you didn't come for a baby shower, bridal shower or book your reservation weeks in advance.
