"Impeccable" sushi and small plates (called ippins) and "interesting cocktails" keep this "delish" Fremont Japanese fixture hopping, as do the "reasonable" prices; the "attractive" minimalist dining room fills with techies and business types at lunch, but at dinner it's "great for a date", despite occasionally spotty service.
Tempura Whatever You Want. Extensive Japanese appetizers include beef short ribs and prawns brushed with chili sauce. Squid and mackerel sushi are worth going out of your comfort zone for. A large speciality menu features revolving specialties: monkfish liver pate and Japenese savory egg custard.
