This two-tier restaurant houses Chops upstairs, which features steaks and has a masculine, clubby atmosphere, while Lobster Bar downstairs focuses on seafood. Each setting offers the other’s menu. It’s an exercise in days-of-old steakhouse charm. Sinatra oozes over the p.a., jacketed waiters bustle about and warm wood panelling boxes in the whole affair. But the star of the show may be the Wagyu Kobe beef New York strip with its simple salt and pepper seasoning and tender marbelized bites. Make sure there’s room on your plastic. The Wagyu calls for $75 a pop.
