Terrible Company! Beware!:
Do Not hire this company. They were fired after our two to three week bathroom remodel turned into a three month nightmare. First off, they did not get a permit, which means that they were operating illegally as a licensed contractor. Even from the beginning...there was never a design plan even though we were promised one multiple times. There was no organization, time line, or communication. We had to call them multiple times daily to see if and when they would show up. They frequently did not show up. They took long "lunch breaks" and "store trips". They left trash and garbage in our house and yard for weeks. There was simply no quality control. We had a waterfall in the wall at one point due to a cap popping off in the middle of the night. We had to shut the water off manually, so it would not flood our neighbor's house. We were told this is common and not to worry about it. They sent three sets of their plumbers(their third plumber, they told us, was a "professional" Thanks guys for finally hiring a professional to work on our bathroom...) to figure out certain problems we were having due to the new bathroom plumbing...finally(after many weeks), the last set of "professional" plumbers realized that none of the plumbing was strapped as well as many other issues.. Furthermore, they made deep scratches in our brand new corner whirlpool tub and broke piping on the side of it. They did frame the tub..three times..incorrectly. When we called Jay in the beginning to share our uneasiness with what was happening, he angrily told us not to tell his workers what to do. ? They did not cover our wooden floors for the first few days during demo and only put it down after we asked them repeatedly...after they had scratched the floor. We even paid for expedited shipping for items when they made it seem like we were slowing down the process...which was a waste of money. We have had three inspections all of which pointed out flaws in plumbing, electrical, framing...everything...sewage pipes were not covered, live wires were exposed, drains and sewer pipes were running uphill, insufficient nails were nailed into ceiling joists making the shower ceiling dangerous, tub framing was uneven... To get to all of the incorrect piping and to get everything up to code, the walls were torn out as well as the floor. Just ridiculous, sad, frustrating...a horrible experience. We have paid them $8430...we ended up with a shell of a room with no shower, an incorrectly framed broken tub, no toilet, no vanity...and all bad plumbing, no lights, incorrect electrical and ventilation...furthermore, we have to buy a new tub and have had to pay for an inspector. We were extremely patient in the past..maybe too patient. We now have no confidence in their work and want a full refund...which Jays he will not give. We were told the project manager William was fired, but he is not the only problem with that company. Also, we should be reimbursed for the broken, scratched whirlpool tub. No honor, no respect for people...they should be ashamed. I am amazed and shocked that this company is still in business. I feel sad for all of the customers of whom they are taking advantage. We have already contacted the Contractors State License Board and the BBB.
