Clear Creek History Park

Pioneer life in the hills and canyons near Golden was harsh, difficult, and not for the faint of heart.

This 3-acre creek-side park illustrates the history of the area’s ranching, with two log cabins, several animal barns, a blacksmith’s shop, and a one-room schoolhouse from the 1870s. The buildings, which were moved to this site to save them from development in their original site in nearby Golden Gate Canyon, are open during special events. Allow about an hour.
