"As close as you can get to the beach" without being sand-bound, this "expensive" Santa Monica Californian at Shutters Hotel regales diners with "wonderful" ocean views from its waterside patio; some say the "competent" seafood may not match the ambiance, but service is "excellent" and to most it's a "class act."
Coast Restaurant Review:
Coast’s menu is very casual with American fare like hamburgers and macaroni and cheese, as well as a variety of seafood dishes including fish ‘n’ chips made with local halibut and San Francisco cioppino. For a lighter meal, select one of the entrée salads, such as the Niçoise with seared ahi. There’s also an oyster bar. The ocean view is a plus.
