I have been living at Colonial Grand/ Hanover Grand for over 3 years now. I started in a 3 bdrm, now living in a 1 bdrm. This place is a joke! Do not rent from here. They are wanting to SERIOUSLY increase my rent. They're cutting down all the trees that give us cover from the noise and c@!p of the surrounding areas. I get so much light pollution now from the surrounding areas that it's not pleasant to be outside at night. They can't or won't fix the gates. They MANDATE valet trash service because they're too cheap to fix the trash compactor, the now only trust it to someone they PAY to collect trash every night. They also are going up on my pet fee. I have no love for this complex. The other reviewers are correct, this place is NOT worth the money, it's NOT secure, it's NOT safe, and the amenities are a joke. Trash always out by the dumpster, no lighting by the mailboxes, breezeway lighting always full of bugs and non-functional, weight room equipment is sparse and broken, pool bathroom is covered in urine during the summer. You have to literally wade into 1-2" of urine to use the bathroom because the lights don't work in there and kids are scared to go all the way in and just go just inside the doorway. They also violate their own policies and do NOT provide 24 hr notice before entering apartments. I have a skittish cat that they almost let out! They put in a thermostat, but left screws, trash, and drywall chips all over my carpet. One eye on my stove never got fixed, my rented W/D still has a broken dryer switch (which they tried to fix twice).

This place is the worst. They come in, fire everyone, mess the place up by "improvements" that no one wanted, while ignoring the basics that need attention. And then they get indignant because we don't want to stay in an overpriced hole like this.
