good service:
Decent "american" food, really good service. There are some oddities on the menu like prickly pear margaritas and rattlesnake. The decor is a little dark inside, but since it's supposed to look like an old west tavern, it's to be expected.

You don't need to wear boots or a Stetson, but if you do, you might feel like a true cowboy and blend in with the staff. This casual southwestern steakhouse serving creative “high desert cuisine” is located in one of Sedona's oldest buildings, which prides itself on being the birthplace of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America. (And you can see the second largest set of Longhorn horns in...

High-quality cuts of beef are the specialty, but the burgers, grilled trout, and vegetable pot pies are delicious, too.

Start out with fried cactus strips with a prickly-pear sauce or perhaps some snake skewers. The buffalo tenderloin, served with brandied peppercorn cream sauce, may be the most expensive item on the menu, but it's worth the splurge. Frugal...

Information from the business

In 1946, if you wound your way down Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona you would find only a few buildings. Among them a Post Office, a two-story wood building known as the Schnebly Hotel and a Tavern-Marketplace. The tavern was the center of the towns social life. It was called the Oak Creek Tavern-and it served as meeting place, pool hall, grocery store and saloon to the folks in the area and the...
