Stay away!:
This guy is a ripoff. Not sure how his business went into the dumps, but it has. Shipped a crank to him to fix and got it back bent and with cracks in the #4 main journal. Sent it back after he said he would fix it. Guess what? It came back the same. He won't return my calls. Stay away from this guy. Fast talker and says all the right things. Check him out on the web. I wish I had looked into him more before I sent him money. Beware!

Mid South BBB - Tenn Consumer Affairs:
Cris,

Apparently you're local or at least close enough that you can go to his shop to resolve any issues. I have emails from people that are lined up to either receive refunds or promised work that will NEVER be honored. If this guy was/is such a stand up person, why do I not have either my refund or a usable crank? When a "business man" says he has the part on his shelf and 3 weeks later there's no part, what should one think or do? When that same person requested CERTIFIED FUNDS and in return delivered nothing, what is an adult or full grown person to do? Wal-Mart, Kmart, or even the "have it your way" company does not operate like this. Hopefully he doesn't "get you", but if he does it will only because you let it happen. There is plenty of information on many automotive forums that will steer people away. Continued good luck dealing with him, it's just a matter of time before you too will be singing the same song as many of us are.

Excellent company to deal with!:
I have had them do several crankshafts for me and Doug is a very good guy to deal with. He is a little tough to get on the phone but I understand how that can be and I just deal with it.

His prices are good and he is usually pretty close on his time estimates.

Being in the engine business myself, and knowing how crazy car customers can be, I recommend that you take some of the bad reviews with a grain of salt. People are very quick in this day and age to call someone a liar or a ripoff if they are not getting instant gratification. Race engines are not fast food or Wal-Mart so it is not quite as easy to "have it your way" all the time.

If you are an adult, not just a full grown child, you will be happy with the service.
