Worst apartments ever!!!:
Apartmentratings.com has 23 out of 25 reviews that are not in praise of this complex.
First let me preface this by saying, when I moved here they had no pamphlets with prices for their units... 8 months after I moved in, they got some... but the prices are written in by hand. The rent raises often (to stay at what they consider market price)
I moved here in November 07' and was told my apartment was more expensive because of the location (near a creek). By December the creek was no longer there. I didnt question it because I figured they turned off the water in the winter. By April, the creek was still not on and it only served to catch tons of leaves that fall off the trees. Several other creeks were being renovated but not the one near me. I went to the office and questioned when the water would be turned back on. There was a new staff working in the leasing office, different from when I had moved in and they were completely rude. I was told that the creek would never be turned on...and that it no longer worked. When will it be renovated like the others? Never, she said. I guess Im paying the extra money for a gutter filled with leaves, not a creek. They should call this apartment GUTTER MEADOWS.
Further more, I have never been late with rent. I pay with money orders and sometimes pay a day or two ahead of time. Well last labor day weekend, we had Monday off. My friend delivered my rent a day after that because I was on vacation and because I always hand deliver my rent (its a money order). I was then charged $60 for a late fee! I called the office to request that this charge be waived only this once, as I am a great tenant and it was a holiday weekend.. not to mention the fact that they never have to wait for a check to clear! I left a message for the book keeper Casey, who didnt call me back. I called again and finally spoke with Casey, but she was unempathetic and let me know that this would not be possible. I then spoke with the manager of the office, who rudely responded that it's California law to charge this exorbinant amount and that there was no way she would waive the charge "If I did it for you, Id have to do it for everyone." she retorted. After letting her know that she has never waited for my money and that I have promptly paid every month... she should consider that holiday weekends should be accounted for. She scolded "We have a drop box and there's no excuse for being late!" Later she said "I really wish I could..." I answered "Somehow I just dont believe that..." and I hung up.
Yes this is a business and yes they need to run it like a busines but what happened to customer service? Preserving the relationships you have with good tenants in the hope that they will renew their leases?
This is the worst place Ive ever lived! They treat you like such scum. I pay $1224 per month to live in this shoe box that is so infested with aspestice and cancerous materials (you will hear about this once they approve your application)and I vow to tell everyone I know not to live here...there is absolutely no reason to be scolded or mothered by a leasing company that barely does their part. Its funny how none of the times I paid rent in advance matter. Its like working for a company and never taking vacation but being repremanded for walking in late for the first time. I will move out in November when my lease is up, just as most of my neighbors have and will.
