I worked for this company for about a year. We would travel around the country selling Magazines. We were assured that the people we sold them to would get them. It was not the person selling the magazines fault. I later came to find out that it was the people in the office and the owner that were taking the money and not sending the magazines. They would beat us if we didn’t come back at the end of the day with any sales. This is why some of the reps might have lied to get a sale. Company’s like this run adds in the newspaper stating “Fun Job travel all around the United States and get paid. They con young kids into flying half way across the USA and then tell them they are stuck and will not get paid to fly back. If they quit they just drop them off on the side of the road and say good bye. So many of them are trapped and don’t have the money to get home

I cant believe i was so stupid!:
I was just soliciated today by one these lone start subscription sellers. He was very charming and I didnt even know what I was doing. I gave him a check for $66 for a magazine that I dont even read. After he left, I googled Lone Star Subscriptions Inc and immediately cancelled my check. I even put the name LSS INC on my banks radar. I cant believe I was so stupid!!

What a Rip-Off:
I was solicited by LSS on 1-30-08 at which time I purchased a subscription (what a mistake). Since then I have recieved NO subscription nor have I had a response to my numerous phone calls. All I have ever gotten is a machine never a live person. POOR, POOR business. Will let the BBB know about them. NOT recommended. Stay AWAY.

Don't deliver product and don't refund even when promised:
I ordered a subscription to sporting News from Lone Star Subscriptions, Inc. (their phone=1-940-365-0089 and fax 940-365-0206) on October 17, 2007 and have NEVER received one issue of the magazine. I have called the company MORE than 10 times (one of the prople I spoke to was "Brandy" but they mostly have a machine or answering service that takes a message) starting in December 2007 plus sent them a fax with copies of my receipt and letter I received from them trying to receive my refund but they will not cooperate even though they promised my refund. I mentioned above that I even have a letter from them (Crystal Brown, Office Manager) dating March 10, 2008 stating the problem with a promise to get it resolved. I have asked numerous times for a refund now and they told me they would but they have never complied and never returned one phone call. I see now that the BBB has a warning about this company dated 06-02-08 in Spokane but that wasn't the case at the time I placed my order. I would DEFINITELY like a refund of my $88.
